Every film I’ve seen on here I’ve loved… except for “L’Atalante”. I honestly don’t understand how it can be loved past its artistic influence – I felt no connection with it whatsoever and was honestly bored. :/

I don’t know what to tell you, outside of admitting it took me years to warm up to the film. I think it’s beautiful and dreamlike. It’s like it shouldn’t even exist. It’s ghostly.

A damn fine list, sir. I’ve only seen 4 of your top 10 favorite films, not counting the one about the lesbians going boating. 😛

In any case, I really need to rewatch 8 1/2 sometime. I watched it a year and a half ago, and felt that it meandered too much in the middle, which was precisely the point, me thinks.
